During Operation Iraqi Freedom, Dr. Bose served as a physician on the front lines of combat. His experiences ranged from treating Saddam Hussein, to caring for wounded soldiers and civilians while under attack, to earning the Bronze Star and being promoted to Major. As the sole doctor for a mobilized infantry unit, Dr. Bose provided emergency care in the streets of Baghdad, Najaf, and Fallujah and took care of thousands of American soldiers and Iraqis. His 15-month tour marked one of the longest by a physician since World War II. Dr. Bose joined the Army in 1995 to do his small part to serve his country and its ideals, and to gain valuable skills and experiences.

The purpose of this website is to raise awareness and funds for injured veterans. Website visitors can make a donation online to the charity of their choice, or request a lecture by Dr. Bose, proceeds from which go to veterans’ charities. Lectures are tailored to the audience and participants will be able to apply takeaways to everyday life challenges. This website was started in 2003 by Dr. Bose’s high school friend, Brian Dauernheim, as a way for Dr. Bose to share personal letters from combat with family and friends.

Dr. Bose currently works as one of the head emergency physicians at Advocate Christ Medical Center, which is Chicago's busiest emergency department and trauma center. He is an assistant clinical professor at three universities. Having earned the highest score on the board examinations and helping his training residents achieve the same, Dr. Bose founded a business that educates other physicians. He is also writing a book for publication.
